Updates, logout, and uninstall
Who this is for: everyone Applies to: all
What this page covers
How Groupset updates itself (on phones and on web), what logging out does — including push notifications — and how to remove the app from a device.
Step-by-step
- Updates:
- On a phone: updates arrive through your app store (Google Play on Android, App Store on iPhone/iPad). Open the store, find Groupset, and install the update when one is offered.
- On web: nothing to do. The app checks for updates whenever it opens and brings itself up to date — reloading the page also always gives you the newest version.
- Log out: open the navigation menu and choose Logout. You return to the Welcome screen. Logging out removes this device's registration for alerts, so you will stop getting push notifications on it until you sign back in.
- Uninstall:
- Android: press and hold the app icon, then choose Uninstall (or do it from Google Play).
- iPhone/iPad: press and hold the app icon, then choose Remove App.
- Web: there is nothing to uninstall — just stop using the site.
What you should see
- Phone: the app store shows an Update button when a new version is available.
- After logging out: the Welcome screen.
- After uninstalling: the app icon is gone from your device.
Notes and limits
- Logging out only signs this device out — it does not delete your account or any team data.
- Uninstalling the app removes it from the device along with the copies of data the app saved there (your offline copies). Your account and your team's information stay with Groupset — to have those removed, see Accounts, deactivation, and deleting your data.
- After logging out or uninstalling, this device stops receiving push notifications until you sign back in on it.
- Updates arrive automatically on web; on phones you approve them in the app store.
