Practice templates

What this page covers
Reusable practice templates that save the team admin from re-entering the same details every time they schedule a practice. A template stores a name, a short description, the usual duration, the location name, and GPS coordinates, so a practice can be set up from it and only adjusted where it differs. After reading you'll be able to create, edit, and delete your team's templates.
Before you start
- You must be a team admin on the team to manage templates.
- Open Team Settings and go to the General tab, then tap Practice Templates.
- Have the standard details handy that you want to bake into each template.
Step-by-step
- On Practice Templates, create a new template (the empty state offers Create your first practice template); the form is titled Create Template.
- Fill in the details you want it to carry:
- Template Name (required, for example "Endurance Training"),
- Description (Optional) — what the template is for,
- Select Duration — the usual length of the practice,
- Practice Location Name — a familiar name for the place (for example, "North Park Trailhead"),
- GPS Coordinates — for directions and the map display.
- Tap Create Template.
To change a template: open it from the list with the edit button, change what you need, and tap Update Template.
To remove a template: use the delete button and confirm. Templates you already used to create practices are not affected.
What you should see
- The new template appears in the team's template list with its name.
- The next time you create a practice, the practice form offers your templates. Applying one fills in the duration, location, coordinates, and description for the new practice, and everything can still be changed before saving. When the template editor is opened from the practice form, the button is Save & Use.
Notes and limits
- Templates belong to your team — every team manages its own.
- A template carries exactly the details listed above: name, description, duration, location name, and GPS coordinates. Details that change from practice to practice — like the start time — are filled in when the practice is created.
- The coordinates are used for directions and the map display; check-in itself is not limited by location.
- Only team admins can create, edit, or delete templates, and only team admins can create practices (and so apply a template). Creating or editing events and practices is a team-admin action; see Events and practices.
